Tip #1: If you had to get her a flower (which I still find a little overdone and cliche), get her a potted plant. At least that way she could keep it and let it grow. Why not get her something she can use? I think that our culture has set it's norms, and helpless men don't know any better but to follow it. So, here's a challenge, men: try something different for a change.
Tip#2:Simply telling a girl that you love her would probably make her day, and mean more than some red roses you paid 50.00 for someone else to arrange.
Tip#3: Make her something. Cook her dinner. This will let her know that you truly care, and you want to spend some quality time with just her.
Tip#4: Do something she likes to do, even if you hate doing it. Women do that for men all the time, and if not, they should. Take a girl to see a chick flick. I know, you hate it, right? But, in the long run she will appreciate you for it.
Tip#5: Leave her notes in places that you know they will be seen. It's an adorable idea. Girls like to know that they are appreciated, and that someone thinks they are beautiful. Girls, do likewise for your men. I know sounds cornier for men, but you can keep it masculine and let your guy know that he's the only one for you. Little notes of love and encouragement will brighten anyone's day.
Tip#6: Don't worry too much about Valentine's Day. Remember, it's only another day. Relax, you don't have to buy her expensive things to let her know that you love her. Just use that day to spend quality time together. It will definitely make both of you feel special.
